Terms of service

Last updated 27 October 2026. These terms are an agreement between you and Mapailytics Inc. ("Mapailytics", "we") for the use of mapailytics.com, its product sites, the Mapailytics application and APIs (the "service"). By creating an account or using the service you accept them.

The service

Mapailytics lets a business upload its own data, place it on a map, analyse it, ask questions of it in plain language, publish pages and reports for its team, and use location APIs such as geocoding and demographics. We may change or improve features over time; we will not remove a capability you pay for without notice.

Your account

You need an account to use the application. Keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us at once if you think someone else is using them. You are responsible for what is done in your workspace by the people you invite to it.

Your data

What you upload stays yours. You give us the right to store, process and display it as needed to provide the service to you, and for nothing else. You are responsible for having the right to upload it, including any personal information in it, and for how you use what the service produces. You can export or delete your data at any time.

Plans, trials and payment

Prices are shown on the pricing page. A trial runs for 14 days and ends automatically unless you continue; a card is taken at sign-up and charged only when the trial ends. Subscriptions renew each period until you cancel, which you can do from your account at any time; the current period is not refunded. Usage-based features such as API calls are billed as used. Payments are processed by Stripe; if a payment fails we will tell you and may suspend the workspace until it is settled.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service to break the law, to infringe someone else's rights, to send unsolicited messages, to probe or overload our systems, or to resell access without an agreement with us. API keys are for your own applications; rate limits and quotas apply and are shown in your account.

Results from artificial intelligence

Answers, forecasts, summaries and drafts produced by the service's AI features are generated from your data by statistical models. They can be wrong. They are an aid to your judgement, not a substitute for it; check them before you act on them, in particular for financial, legal or safety decisions.

Availability

We aim to keep the service available at all times, and our live status is shown at mapailytics.com/status. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service; maintenance and faults happen, and we tell you about planned maintenance in advance when we can.

Ending the agreement

You can close your account at any time. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that has not paid, or when the law requires it, and will say why unless the law prevents it. After closure your data is deleted as described in the privacy policy.

Liability

The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim connected with the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profit or lost data that you could have backed up. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and the courts of Ontario have jurisdiction. If part of these terms cannot be enforced the rest still applies.
